"#1 Women don't sell magazines"

The Magnus Sermo podcast is now up and running and we’ve got our first episode under our belt. We’ve been extremely fortunate to start our series with a panel of guests that were happy to be the guinea pig for the panel style format that we are aiming for.

This episode introduced Stef Hanson, a now regular and soon to be presenter on the series. Stef is the chief and founder of Witsup.com, a media company celebrating women in triathlon style sports.  Stef brings over nine years of experience as journalist and one woman wrecking crew for Witsup. Hailing from Tasmania, Stef moved to Victoria to pursue a career in softball, before injury put paid to that and she tried her hand at triathlon. Stef has experienced first hand what it’s like to be a lone voice in a male dominated industry and can share those experiences with ease.

Joining Stef in our first foray into the exploration of gender bias were Kim Brennan AM, Olympic gold medalist rower turned lawyer, Emma Manix-Geeves, state and WBBL cricketer and finally Britt Smart, basketball player extraordinaire.

Listen to the panel discuss their experiences of inequality in sport and how and what it will take to tackle the problem.
